Hernando deputies arrested a man they say was employed as a crossing guard, and charged him with sexual battery.
Investigators say James Thomas Woods, 69, sexually battered an adult female who was staying in his home.
It happened around 4 a.m. on October 12, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives did not release the identity of the victim, or how the victim and the suspect know each other.
They say the victim was staying at Woods' home when the sexual battery happened. Woods was arrested Sunday, and terminated from his job as a crossing guard.
