Posted: Updated:
BRANDON (FOX 13) -

The lockdown has been lifted at Brandon Hospital, and the culprit of an afternoon Twitter firestorm: A cordless drill.

Deputies say the suspicious person call that prompted the lockdown was actually a maintenance worker carrying a cordless drill.

There were several tweets by people in the area reporting some sort of gunmen at the facility. Those reports were false.

The hospital was on lockdown for a brief period of time. All operations are back to normal.
