Why Plant Now?
Fall is truly the best time to plant trees, shrubs, and perennials.

Planting now requires less watering

How to Choose a Shrub
Sun Requirements

  • Full Sun: location receives 6-8 hours of full sun each day
  • Partial Sun: 3-6 hours of sun a day, usually in the late morning to the early afternoon
  • Partial Shade: sun is filtered, usually by leaves and foliage, and peek through for most of the day.
  • Shade: area receives less than 3 hours of sun and is shady for most of the day.

Size and Shape
Get a general idea of what size and shape the plant will be.

  • Is it going in front of a window that you don't want to block?
