Detectives looking for possible Plant High shooting 'witness'

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Police have released new video related to last week's Plant High School shooting.

Detectives are hoping to identify and speak to a man captured on the school's surveillance system. Police on Wednesday did not call him a suspect; rather a possible witness.

In the video, you can see him walking on school grounds, and he's wearing blue shorts and a red shirt.

Right now, they just want to speak with him and see what exactly he saw that night.

On Saturday night, police released a description of a suspect and his vehicle: A white male between 20 and 30 years old, possible wearing a red shirt and a black ski mask on his head, but not covering his face. He was clean shaven with a "chubby face" and driving a black four-door vehicle with dark, tinted windows.

A 16-year-old student is still recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Police said someone in the car pulled up to the girl and a friend, said something to them, and then opened fire.

The investigation continues.
