"I look out the window and I see a sheep running down Van Dyke." That's how Allen Oleszko describes the start to his Tuesday afternoon.

Soon after, employees were chasing the animal around their auto shop, Nortown Collison, after the animal ran in through an open door.

When the sheep came into the auto shop she was scared and ran wild, smashing and breaking things. She eventually tried to jump out of the window but the window is made of safety glass so the animal couldn't get through.

"It was running around the shop knocking over bumpers that were on stands ready to be painted, so we were trying to catch it and keep it away from our work area," Oleszko says.

Nortown employees eventually backed the female sheep into a corner, before she hurt herself or someone else. They tied her up, gave her fresh water and called animal control.

The sheep had all the right markings to indicate he's had the proper shots. Police believe she escaped from a butcher shop on Eight Mile Road. Animal control plans to hold the sheep until they can track down the owner.

In the meantime, PETA has contacted animal control hoping to save the animal.
