Police: Missing Griffin veteran found safe

GRIFFIN, Ga. -

Police say a 42-year-old Army veteran from Griffin who was reported missing a week ago has been found.  Griffin police say Madison A. "Matt" Daniels has returned home and is safe.

No other details were immediately given as to where Griffin had been, or where he was found. 

Police had previously asked for help from the public in finding Daniels.  His wife, Monica Daniels, said he suffered from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. 

Monica Daniels said that her husband also disappeared earlier this year, but maintained contact with his family and was found hours later.
