NJ Stranger Danger

Posted: Updated:
Tenafly, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

When Jon Singer showed up outside of Tenafly Middle School with a Lamborghini and a man dressed as Moses, he was just trying to get exposure for his daughter who suffers from autism and other special needs children. However, the Tenafly district called it “stranger danger”. They alerted cops and even warned parents of an intruder at the school.

Regarding the incident at the school Singer says that officials and parents there know him since his son attended school there and to imply that he’s a predator was just ridiculous. “They know who I am; I mean it’s a joke. We were clearly visible. The police were by our side the whole time, it’s as if we’re gonna lure them in with the police there, ya know? It was a very poor attempt at retaliating against us.” He said.

For quite some time now, Singer has been in a bit of a feud with Tenafly educators over how to educate children with special needs.

The Principal of Tenafly Middle School released a statement saying that they take their students speaking to strangers very seriously and issued an email alert to parents warning them to teach their kids not to speak to strangers under any circumstances.

Singer said that the students were taking pictures with the Moses character and the Lamborghini, but he also said that no children were at any risk and this is just the district pushing back against his demands that special needs children receive appropriate care.

No charges were filed in this incident, however what appeared to be a stunt simply involving a fancy car and a Moses character is really a much deeper story about a father’s fight against a school district that appears to be hesitant to fund special needs students.

Singer is asking that people visit www.drive4rebecca.org and help those who need support.

StubHub, which is a website that provides services for buyers and sellers for tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment events, has been hacked. StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
