You don't have to walk very far into the offices of Universal Health Care in St. Petersburg to notice the CEO had a taste for the finer things in life.
"The glass and some of the artwork is really just some beautiful stuff," said Eric Rubin, with Moecker Auctions.
At least 20 pieces of Chihuly glass line the wall behind the desk where a secretary once sat, but as Rubin points out, that is just the first view.
"This is the CEO's office," Rubin said as he opened the door.
His daily view: a $16,000 portrait of Ghandi.
"I wouldn't want it, but someone out there is going to love it and really want it, and want to bid on it," Rubin said.
More than 800 lots are up for auction: brand new laptops, monitors and phones make up a few of the items up for bid.
When it comes to the boardroom, it appears Universal Health Care spared no expense.
"Figure $2,000 a chair, that is $36,000 in that board room right there, just for the chairs," he said.
Not for sale: a poster touting the company's mission statement: to be responsible, trustworty and effective.
"Some of the prices they paid [are] just unbelievable," Rubin said.
Federal regulators said they spent their way into bankruptcy. The yellow poster outside says the sale is Tuesday and Wednesday.
The money brought in from the auction will go toward paying the more than $50 million owed to Universal Health Care's creditors.
"Very overkill. As far as elegance, everybody had TVs, marble foyers," said Andy Ortifelli.
Orfitelli came to check out the auction and got an eye fulll.
"The only thing I ddin't see in there was liquor," Ortifelli said.
They won't recover all the money, but auctioneer Eric Ruben expects a huge crowd for the opening bid.
"Someone here is going to get a good deal," Rubin said.
The auction starts at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
