Texas Mom Beats Kid's Bully At School

Posted: Updated:

A Texas mom beats up a kid who bullied her daughter. And it happened on school property. Obviously, mom went too far, but how many parents would try to stick up for their own kid?

A Texas mother takes her daughter's issue into her own hands and assaults a teen on school property. Thirty-six-year-old Christie Franklin approached the student on the campus of Austin High School, and soon began swinging.

"Apparently, the adult female's child has been having some on-going altercations or incidences, issues with another student," Eric Mendez of the Austin Police Department says. "The parent engaged that student with hostility, anger, [and] was prepared to fight for this student. [She] began to swing wildly is my understanding. In the process of throwing punches, the parent struck at least two other students and an assistant principal."

You heard right. The mom, in her rage, hit two additional students, as well as the assistant principal, who was trying to stop the assault. Franklin was arrested and now faces two charges of assault with injury, plus assault on a public servant.

A letter was sent home to parents, explaining the incident.

"A parent does not have a right to engage a student at a school because they feel that their child is being bullied," says Officer Mendez.
