BROOKSVILLE (FOX 13) -

The sheriff's office says a wanted man and his two missing daughters have been tracked down in Montana.

The girls, Madison and Mckala, are doing well, detectives said Thursday morning. Detectives say Edward Peters kidnapped his children. He did not have custody of them when he took them out of state.

He took off with the kids two weeks ago.

Deputies say Peters removed a GPS ankle monitor. He violated several court orders, and there was a warrant out for his arrest.

The monitor was found off the northbound lanes of I-75 in Hernando County.

They were all found in Sweetwater, Montana, and Peters is now in custody.
