A man is in jail after deputies discovered drug-making equipment and chemicals in his Plant City home, the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office says.
Ronnie Dale Porter, 35, is in the Hillsborough County Jail. He is charged with possessing methylamine, a chemical used in making illegal street drugs.
Deputies went to the home at 4911 Pandora Place Tuesday for an eviction notice.
They discovered what they said were potentially explosive chemicals, and evacuated nearby homes.
Photos they released showed what appeared to be a make-shift lab.
Investigators tested the chemicals and discovered the methylamine. They say it is used in the manufacture of "Molly," an illegal drug.
