Boil water advisory for residents of Kathleen

Posted: Updated:

You'll want to boil your water first, if you live in the Kathleen area of Polk County. There's been a water main break, and it's caused a pressure loss for some customers.

The health department recommends boiling tap water for at least a minute for cooking and drinking, or officials say just use bottled water.

Crews have flushed the water lines as a precaution. Officials are taking water samples and will issue a notice when everything's clear.

For questions or concerns regarding this notice contact Customer Service at (863) 298- 4100 or Steve Whidden Regional Water Production Supervisor at (863) 397-1441.
