Some Plant City residents were evacuated from their homes Tuesday night after potentially explosive chemicals were found in a house nearby.
Federal and state law enforcement agencies surrounded the home at 4911 Pandora Place in Plant City.
Hillsborough County deputies had responded to an eviction call there earlier Tuesday, the sheriff's office told FOX 13.
When deputies arrived, they found chemicals and materials that they say are potentially hazardous. Deputies have arrested Ronnie Dale Porter. He is charged with possession of precursor chemical, Methylamine.
Five homes were evacuated nearby. Traffic on Charleston Avenue from Turkey Creek Road was even blocked.
The sheriff's office released several photos of what appeared to be a makeshift lab.
