New details are emerging in the search for someone who apparently fired BB gunshots at two people in an alleged act of road rage.
FOX 13 spoke to the driver of a Ford F-150 at the center of it all. She described the incident that the sheriff's office is looking into.
The woman did not want to be identified. Deputies tell us she and William Seago were inside the truck when it cut off a man driving a white SUV.
Shortly after, near Causeway Boulevard and U.S. 301, the enraged man – who is only described as a Hispanic male – tracked them down.
The sheriff's office confirmed the road rage incident. The driver told FOX 13 that she didn't see the man in her blind spot, and the next thing she knew, shots were flying through the door.
"They pulled up next to us, and I was watching the light to see if I'd catch that light or the next light, and all of a sudden, I hear two BB gunshots, what sounded like a BB gun, and next thing I know I look over to him to talk to him, and there is blood squirting out of his arm," the driver said.
Seago was shot in the leg, chest and arm, deputies said. He was hospitalized but is expected to recover from surgery.
This all happened on the side of the road, deputies say.
Investigators believe the man left the scene driving south on U.S. 301, and they are looking for him this morning.
If anyone has any information on the shooting, call the sheriff's office at (813) 247-8200.
