The University of Tampa is showing off its new West Kennedy Hall. It's the school's biggest and newest residence hall.
The $44-million building is located on Kennedy Boulevard near North Boulevard. It opened this semester with upscale accommodations for 528 UT students.
The building is 200,000 square feet and features two large community multi-purpose rooms on the 11th floor. There's also an international theme intended to continue educating students about global cultures and traditions.
There are more than 100 pieces of world photography, plus art objects and unique cultural elements from more than 20 countries around the world. All rooms are cable-ready and the building features external lighting that changes with the seasons.
West Kennedy Hall is the seventh new dorm built on the UT campus in the last 15 years.
