TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Police are looking for someone who slammed their car into a pair of construction workers this morning in South Tampa.

It happened overnight near South Dale Mabry and San Carlos Street.

Tampa police say the workers were painting lines in the street when the driver hit the machine they were using. One of the workers was thrown off the machine.

Their injuries are both described as minor. They were treated for some bumps and bruises, but police said they're expected to be OK.

Investigators say another construction worker actually hopped into his car and gave chase to the driver.

He said it was a four-door silver Mitsubishi with a Florida tag. The driver is believed to be a "small," Hispanic male with dark hair.
