One week after Marcelo Fierro was robbed at gunpoint and stripped down to his underwear, he can't help but constantly look over his shoulder.
"I'm always looking around at every car that passes by and I hold on to my wallet when I'm walking," Fierro said.
But now, the 24-year-old is breathing a little easier, knowing some of the crooks that robbed him are under arrest.
"I'm glad they did arrest them. He says if not, more people would have been attacked like I was," Fierro said.
Fierro says he was lured by a woman with a rose tattoo. While you can't see it in an arrest photo, Fierro says Diana Suarez approached him at a Bradenton Walmart asking for directions. Next thing he knew, two men jumped out of a black Expedition and pulled out guns.
They forced the 24-year-old into the SUV, stripped him down to his underwear, and took everything he had.
Manatee Sheriff investigators won't say what led to them to the trio. But they suspect they're involved in at least two other armed robberies, each time using a woman as bait.
Sheriff spokesperson Dave Bristow believes the Hispanic thieves are targeting migrant workers who usually carry large amounts of cash with them.
"There's a pretty good chance that the victims could have a decent amount of money on them, and that could be the motivation behind picking out these victims," Bristow said.
As for Fierro, he's out $240, but very thankful to have survived the violent lure of the woman with the rose tattoo.
"They need to be punished and go to jail," Fierro said.
