Police Search For 2 Suspects In Tire Store Attempted Robbery

PHILADELPHIA -

Police are looking to identify two suspects in an attempted robbery and shooting in Olney.

The incident occurred on Monday at 6:23 a.m. at the Express Tire shop located at 4673 North 6th Street. Police say two unknown males armed with handguns entered the shop and demanded money from an employee.

When the employee began to struggle with one of the suspects, the other suspect fired two shots striking the employee once in the right thigh. After shooting the employee, both suspects ran south on 6th Street.

Police describe both suspects as Asian males, possibly Cambodian, 5'9"-5'11", wearing white hooded sweatshirts with the strings tied tightly around their faces. They wore dark blue bandanas and blue jeans.

If you see these suspects, police say call 9-1-1 immediately.
