Seeing a positive pregnancy test is a different experience for every woman. Overwhelming joy for some, total shock or uh-oh for others.
Now, some moms-to-be are offering to share that experience with others for a fee.
Some expectant mothers are selling their positive pregnancy tests to make a quick buck. The ads are popping up on sites like Craigslist. Sellers say they make a good prank; like scaring a relative or a boyfriend. Others simply say just hand over the cash no questions asked.
Some mommy bloggers are getting a good chuckle out of the fad.
Buyer beware, though, using the tests as a prank can land you in some legal mamma drama. Attorneys say there is civil and criminal liability involved if the prank is not taken well. Those caught selling the test could be sued for fraud.
We wanted to see if people are actually doing this here. It turns out they are.
One woman in Orlando has an ad on Craigslist. She's charging $25, offering them up for pranks or baby shower gags. In Melbourne, there is another also for $25. She says she's had a lot of demand for the tests.
