PHILADELPHIA -

A fire inside a commercial building went to three alarms Monday in Northeast Philadelphia before it was placed under control about two hours after it began.

The fire on the 1500 block of Ruan Street was reported shortly before 10:40 a.m.

The call for a second alarm came about five minutes later, and the third alarm was less than 30 minutes after that.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Crews at the scene say the building, situated in the middle of a residential block, appears to have been a garage used for storage of furniture and other items.

The fire was placed under control at 12:37 p.m.
