Wildlife officials tracked down the man they say is seen in pictures digging up an endangered sea turtle nest.
When they arrested Kim Feaste at his Tampa home, they discovered that, until recently, they say he had been keeping a live loggerhead turtle in an aquarium.
It's against the law to have the endangered animals.
So he's charged in Hillsborough County with possession of a sea turtle, and faces charges in Sarasota County for disturbing a sea turtle nest.
A beachgoer on Casey Key took pictures of him last month allegedly digging up a clearly marked nest.
He reportedly told that person he wanted to take the eggs home to hatch.
Disturbing a nest or having a live turtle is a third degree felony, punishable by 5 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Wildlife officials found Feaste thanks to a tip from someone who recognized his picture on TV.
