Wallenda, sister to tightrope over NASCAR race

Posted: Updated:

He already wowed the world with his tightrope walk across a gorge near the Grand Canyon. Now, Nik Wallenda is getting ready for his next death-defying feat.

Wallenda will walk a tightrope before the NASCAR race on Oct. 12 in Charlotte.

He will be joined by his sister Lijana this time. For the Charlotte stunt, they will start at opposite ends and cross paths as they make their way across the 500-foot cable.

Nik Wallenda made a solo tightrope walk ahead of last year's race.

While he and his sister often practice together at their base in Sarasota, this will be the first time in several years that they will perform a stunt together.
