Posted: Updated:

A 60-year-old St. Petersburg man is fighting for his life this morning after a motorcycle crash.

It happened around 11:20 p.m. at 76th Avenue in St. Pete Beach.

Deputies say Early Pruitt Sr. lost control of his Harley Davidson and hit a median. He was thrown from his motorcycle and wasn't wearing a helmet.

Deputies don't believe any other vehicles were involved, and they're still investigating the cause.

Pruitt Sr. was not wearing a helmet.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he reportedly had life-threatening injuries.
