A cruiser crash is causing problems for drivers on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, a 67-year-old woman was traveling southbound on 56th Street, when she turned into the path of a deputy that was traveling northbound on 56th Street. The deputy's cruiser hit the woman's Chevrolet on the passenger side, causing it to flip onto it's roof.
The woman was taken to Tampa General Hospital with an injury to her hand. The deputy was transported to Florida Hospital.
56th Street Northbound is completely shut down at Fowler Avenue. There is no word on when it will reopen.
