We spent the afternoon with Sweet G's BBQ, one of at least 100 or more food trucks slated to rally together and try and break a world's record at the Florida State Fairgrounds August 31st.
Sweet G's is run by owners Ed Bowden and Pat George, who are retired from the Tampa Police Department.
Back in the spring, a food truck rally in Miami had 64 trucks operating simultaneously. The goal right now is 100 for Tampa Bay, but currently, 90 are signed up for certain.
There's still a week to go. If you'd like to learn more about the rally, check out the Facebook Page for Not Your Ordinary Food Truck, which was the very first food truck we featured on FOX 13 back in July.
