Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a murder at the Candlelight Motel in St. Petersburg.

Officers arrested 21-year-old David Charles Willey.

A staff member at the motel, which is located at 3405 34th Street North, found the body of a man in a room around 10:30 a.m.

Police say he was murdered, but they did not give any details about a motive or suspect.

Investigators say that Wiley met with the victim at the motel and went to his room sometime last night. Once inside, detectives say Wiley stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper body. A knife was recovered at the scene.

There's no word yet on a motive.
