Hillsborough County is back to school Tuesday. It's one of the largest school districts in the nation with more than 200,000 students.
Parents and grandparents were seen escorting children to school.
Law enforcement officers were also out and about making sure drivers were not speeding through school zones.
You can expect to see some changes in the district this year. Some schools are unveiling a new lunch tray. It's color-coded with each food group.
Additional security measures have also been added to some schools. The district has implemented new cameras fences, gates and buzzers. Hillsborough county Superintendent, MaryEllen Elia said the changes were needed to keep students safe.
Parents can also check in on the lunch menu through a new app, which you can check out at www.nutrislice.com.
