Are you feeling lucky?
Wednesday's Powerball drawing is $425 million, and a single winner could end
up with a lump sum of about $244 million after taxes.
For jackpots this big, convenience stores, gas stations and newsstands
throughout the 43 participating states are packed with ticket buyers.
Millions of people are expected to purchase tickets for this week's drawing.
In May, Gloria MacKenzie of Zephyrhills claimed the biggest Powerball prize
of all time: $590.5 million.
The 84-year-old woman opted for the lump sum payment, ultimately walking
away with more than $278 million.
The odds of matching all six numbers are one in 175.2 million.
