Vicky and "Pillsbury" Adcock had no intention of teaching their grandkids about life when they left for the mountains of Georgia last weekend. But the kids may have learned something they will remember for a lifetime.
Pillsbury lost his wallet, which didn't bother Vicky too much, until he told her how much was in it: $5,000.
"I froze," said Vicky. "We didn't argue. I thought the money was gone."
So they began searching high and low, but came up empty handed, and came home.
One of their grandsons, Tyler, did what came to mind.
"I prayed for it to come back," he told FOX 13.
It may have been the prayer, good, luck or who know what. But something worked. A few days ago, the Adcocks got a package from Georgia. It was the wallet with every cent still in it.
"I cried," Pillsbury said.
As a thank you, the Adcocks sent the Georgia couple who found the wallet $500.
We wanted to interview them, but the couple say they don't want to talk about what they did publicly. Through the Adcocks, they say it is simple. It was just the right thing to do.
