Thousands of letters are sitting on Governor Chris Christie's desk, asking him to legalize medical marijuana for children.
Supporters made sure to hand-deliver those letters in Trenton today. The New Jersey Assembly and Senate both passed bills in June, to make it easier to get an edible strain of cannabis, that will not get children high.
Governor Christie was on New Jersey's 101.5's "Ask the Governor" last night, saying the issue isn't black and white.
Governor Christie also said he doesn't want New Jersey to become like California or Colorado, when it comes to legalizing marijuana.
Rain arrives for the second half of the work week. Another fall-like blast of cool weather to follow for the weekend.
Expect unsettled weather for the next two days. Humid today and tomorrow, with seasonable temperatures. The best chance for rain will be this afternoon & tonight, where we'll see on and off showers and thunderstorms.
Clouds and showers linger though much of Friday. We may still see a passing shower Saturday morning. Unseasonably cool air returns this weekend.
