BRANDON (FOX 13) -

Three people are accused of stealing $75 worth of merchandise from a CVS in Brandon on Tuesday.

Deputies say Jamie Gay and Colleen Cooke went into the CVS at 715 Brandon Blvd. and walked out with the stolen merchandise.

They gave that merchandise to Nicole McCall, who then went into the store and attempted to return the stolen items for cash, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies say some of the items that were stolen were Scar Gel, Culture Digest and a pair of sunglasses.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop where they caught the suspects; they say Gay had a suspended driver's license and five counterfeit $20 bills. He also provided a false name, Donald White.

Following the incident, deputies also learned that Gay was manufacturing meth in his motel room at the Motel 6 on Falkenburg Road and Highway 60.

All three suspects were charged with petty theft. Gay was also charged with violation of probation, possession of false bills, providing a false name and possession of methamphetamine.
