MARIETTA, Ga. -

Police are investigating what could be the third smash-and-grab crime in metro Atlanta in less than a week.

The suspect plowed his vehicle through the entrance of a store in the 700 block of Sandtown Road, near Powder Springs Street in Marietta, FOX 5 Atlanta has learned. The front of the store sustained extensive damage.

FOX 5 Atlanta learned that there were not any surveillance cameras in or outside of the store.

Earlier this week, on Tuesday, Atlanta police say the suspect who tried to rob a hair weave shop on Marietta Boulevard likely crashed a car through the store's entrance to get inside.

On Friday of last week, police say several men stole around $500,000 worth of Rolex watches from a store at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta on Friday.
