TAMPA (FOX 13) -

A talented group of little leaguers from Tampa are one step closer to a trip to the Junior League World Series.

After their victory over South Fort Myers in the state championship Monday, the Palma Ceia-Bayshore Junior All-Stars are now playing for a regional title.

The team leaves on Wednesday for the Little League Southeast Regional Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina. Their first game will on Friday morning at 9 a.m. against a team from North Carolina.

If the boys on the Palma Ceia-Bayshore team win the regional title, they will earn a berth in the Junior League Baseball World Series. That's happening in Michigan on August 11.

We'll keep you posted on their progress.
