Winter the Dolphin is going to make a return to the big screen.
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium announced Friday that plans are underway to film a sequel to Dolphin Tale.
The 2011 film launched Winter and the Aquarium to international fame.
The film will be called "Dolphin Tale 2." Aquarium executive say it will continue to follow Winter's story, and will introduce "Hope," another dolphin that was found orphaned right around the time the original movie was released.
Production on the movie will start in October and run through mid-Januray of 2014. The release date is scheduled for September of 2014.
"We're really continuing Winter's story of working with kids," said aquarium director David Yates. "The ongoing aspects of her life, working with her tail and then having some struggles in her life, and then introducing the new story of Hope."
Governor Rick Scott noted the major economic impact the first film had.
"If everything we did in the state where your dollars were invested, we could get $2 billion worth of economic impact, that would be a pretty good deal," Scott said.
