One by one, Tampa Bay Buccaneers players started filing into One Buc place – the first official signal that football season is finally here.
The Bucs are gearing up for their second season under head coach Greg Schiano, and team organizers are expecting a big fan turnout at training camp.
Camp begins Thursday morning with one of 10 open-to-the-public practices at One Buc Place. Those practices are free, and you don't need tickets to enter.
All sessions are held on Field 3 and will include autograph sessions, free parking, discounted concessions, merchandise tents and appearances by the Bucs cheerleaders and Captain Fear.
The Bucs are also helping you beat the heat. The practices are from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30. Gates open at 7:45.
The exception is the night practice, held Saturday at 6:45 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium. Parking for that opens at 2:30 p.m.
The Bucs' first preseason game is scheduled for Aug. 8 against Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. The regular season kicks off Sept. 8 against the New York Jets.
