The luxury car market, which took a hit like most of the automotive world back in 2008, appears to be on the upswing.
We took a test-drive of the new Jaguar F-Type at Jaguar of Tampa Bay. This car boasts an 8-speed transmission, 495-horsepower and a base price just shy of $70,000.
It's a roadster that harkens back to the 1960s when Jaguar had an E-class roadster dominating the roadways, alongside Chevy's Corvette, and the Ford/Shelby Cobra. Back then, car prices were around $7,000.
Today's new muscle roadster runs at around $70,000 to start with, and the highest-end model of their new F-Type goes for closer to $105,000.
Take a look as we took it for a spin in Tampa, to see why the demand for this new roadster is so high. The car is on back-order in many markets across Florida already.
The V-6 model has a top-speed of 186 miles per hour!
