With students heading back to school in about a month, back-to-school shopping is in full swing.
According to retail experts, some stores started marketing school supplies earlier this year than they have in previous years, starting within the first days of the official start of summer.
Supplies are already flying off shelves.
Parent Danielle Catas has had a hard time finding some of the things her kids need.
"I find the notebooks they need, like the one subject or three subject, those are gone," she said.
Back-to-school shopping is very important to businesses, as more and more retailers are noticing. It accounts for $84 billion in annual sales, according to the National Retail Federation.
It is the second biggest shopping season of the year after the holiday season, which sees $580 billion in sales.
