Water Main Break Turns Northeast Philly Intersection Into River

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

SkyFOX was live Tuesday afternoon over some breaking news in Northeast Philadelphia where a road looked more like a river.

The water main break occurred just before 5 p.m. at the corner of Academy Road and Holme avenue.

As you can see, water is gushing everywhere. Police have blocked off part of the roadway because of flooding.

FOX 29's Dave Kinchen is at the scene, says it's an 8- to 10-inch main that broke and four houses are without water.
