Deputies: Manatee kidnapper spotted on surveillance videos

BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

Deputies are asking for the public's help in finding a man who is accused of kidnapping and sexually battering a young child in Manatee County.

It happened at the Aloha Estates mobile home park in the 5000 block of 14th Street in Bradenton.

Deputies say the 5-year-old child was playing with a friend when the man approached. They say the man lured the child to a store and then to a vacant mobile home, where he sexually battered the child.

The child managed to escape and give their family a description. A man matching that description was caught on surveillance video trying to get on a bus.

It's the best video authorities have of him right now. They do not know his name.

The suspect is about 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds. He was wearing jeans and no shirt at the time of the attack.

If you recognize the man in the picture or video, call the Manatee County Sheriff's Office or Crimestoppers at 1 (866) 634-TIPS.
