Protect your eyes in the pool

Summertime swimming season is here, and doctors have some tips to protect your eyes before diving in the pool.

The chemicals in the pool water can lead to a mild case of pink eye. Doctor's say one common pool illness is called chemical conjunctivitis; which is characterized by blurriness, redness, or sometimes pain. But can usually be treated by flushing your eyes with fresh water or saline drops.

Doctors say to never swim with contact lenses. The best bet is to always swim with your goggles.
