Brantley to remain free on bond during appeal

Posted: Updated:
TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Cortnee Brantley will remain free on bond while she appeals her federal conviction, a judge decided Tuesday.

She may end up serving her entire sentence while learning the result of her appeal.

Brantley was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for withholding information about her boyfriend, Dontae Morris, who is charged with the 2010 murders of two Tampa officers, David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab.

Morris is currently serving a life sentence for another murder and will go on trial in November for the murder of the two officers.
