Off-duty Dunwoody officer saves man

DUNWOODY, Ga. -

An off-duty Dunwoody police officer is crediting for saving a man's life.

Officer Christopher Irwin of the Dunwoody Police Department was headed home when a medical emergency call was dispatched.

The officer turned around and responded to the scene.

Irwin arrived to find a man in cardiac arrest. He immediately deployed his AED and performed CPR until more help arrived.

Medics restored the victim's heart beat and breathing and transported him to St, Joseph's.
