More evidence of government waste has surfaced at both the GSA and the IRS. The conservative watchdog Judicial Watch obtained and released videos showing more examples of GSA workers producing movie spoofs.
The videos, apparently from 2011, include GSA staff producing spoofs of Mission Impossible, Sherlock Holmes and Rocky. The GSA previously triggered Congressional hearings after the agency spent around $800,000 at a conference in Las Vegas featuring mind readers and clowns.
"Government seems to fail at everything they do," said Ken Jewell Friday afternoon in Tampa. "Before you start taxing us, why don't you cut out all the waste?"
Meanwhile, an Inspector General's report raised concerns about the management of purchase cards at the IRS. The report revealed inappropriate purchases and a lack of controls that have allowed former ITS employees to retain active purchase cards even after they leave the agency.
"I just don't think they're responsible people," said Terry Watland. "I think it's despicable the way they've treated our country."
A new Gallup poll shows 71 percent think our founding fathers would be disappointed with our country today. But that poll also shows 85 percent say they're still proud to be Americans. They appear to be proud of our nation, but concerned about government.
