Posted: Updated:

Official say they have finally capped a pair of water main breaks that sprung up on a southwest Atlanta roadway on Sunday.

Officials with Atlanta Water tell FOX 5 News that a construction contractor that was doing repair work on a bridge in the 4300 block of Cascade Road hit a water main around 1 a.m. Sunday.

Crews were able to repair the leak, but discovered a second leak near the first sometime around 4 p.m.

They say that second leak was capped and the road which had been closed most of the day was reopened around 8 p.m.

Officials say only a few households were affected by the break.
