A woman was arrested after she let her dog starve to death, authorities said.
Police arrested 24-year-old Alyssa Anderson on Sunday. They say she left her Great Dane alone for 11 days without food or water.
The dog died, and Anderson is now charged with cruelty to animals.
According to police, Anderson left her dog at home for several days with the plan to "eventually" pick it up.
Anderson was arrested after her dog was found dead and decomposing. She was released from jail early Tuesday morning on a $4,000 bond.
