Police are hunting for the armed robbers who pistol-whipped a man during a home invasion in Cobbs Creek.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Friday when guys with handguns simply knocked on the door. And when the victim answered it, they pistol-whipped him and robbed him.

They forced their way into the property. All four males were wearing dark clothing and covering their face. At else one of the males had a gun.

The 30-year-old homeowner was struck in the face.

The men were able to get away with about $1,500 and keys and fled out the door in an unknown direction. The victim is at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police didn't say if the keys were house keys or opened something else. The victim is in stable condition but suffered some pretty serious blows to the head and upper body, FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito reported from outside police headquarters Friday morning.
