Shots fired in Gulfport home invasion, police say

Posted: Updated:

Police are looking for three men in connection with a violent home invasion in Gulfport.

It happened in the 5100 block of 16th Avenue South just after midnight.

Police say three black males broke into a home, and the residents were left to lock themselves in their bedroom.

Even worse, police say, the men tried to get into the bedroom but couldn't. However, someone started firing gunshots.

One of the suspects was spotted as the men left the house. He was apparently wearing a white tank top, baggy shorts and appeared to have dreadlocks.

If you saw or know anything, call police at (727) 893-1043.
