Mega mosquitoes invading Florida

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Watch out: There's a creepy critter outbreak right here in Florida.

A mega mosquito called gallinippers has been spotted in Seminole County. Though the name is cute, they pack an ugly bite.

They're about 20 times the size of a typical mosquito, and officials also say they're aggressive.

The bugs aren't believed to carry any sort of viruses that could be harmful to humans. Experts predicted this would happen after the drenching rains of Tropical Storm Debby last year.

Now, thanks to Tropical Storm Andrea, there will likely be more gallinippers, too.
