The death of 4-year-old Ariel Russo is renewing criticism of New York City's 911 system.
As a result, City Council members will hold an oversight hearing on June 17th to address concerns of reported glitches and crashes.
Members say they will review an upgrade to the dispatch system, which has led to delays in response times to emergency calls – at least four times last week.
One of the those incidents involved the crash that killed Ariel.
