Parents Foot Bill After Kids Bully In Wisconsin Town

Posted: Updated:

A Wisconsin community is cracking down on the parents of bullying kids.

Moms and dads are being told that they have to start paying if they can't stop the bullying their kids do.

The town of Monona has a new law that allows the police to actually fine parents, and a first violation alone costs $114.

The tickets are being handed out to parents on the playground.

If the behavior continues, the fine increases to $177.

This is the first community to pass a rule like this, but police aren't expecting to get much use out of it, meaning cooperative parents are safe from getting a ticket.

FOX 29's Thomas Drayton explained the rules to Karen and Mike in this video clip from "Good Day" Tuesday morning.
